Andy Shirtliff announces campaign for Helena City Commissioner

Commissioner Andy Shirtliff to run for the remainder of Eric Feaver’s 2-year term

Helena, Montana, April 20, 2023 - Andy Shirtliff, a longtime Helena resident announced his candidacy for City Commissioner in the upcoming election to fulfill the remainder of Commissioner Eric Feaver’s two-year term.

Shirtliff was appointed to the City Commission last year after the unfortunate passing of Eric Feaver. Shirtliff has been involved in various community and economic projects over the years and said he is running to continue helping make a positive impact in Helena. "I believe in a Helena that’s livable, safe, and more prosperous," Shirtliff said. "I would be honored to continue working as Commissioner with my colleagues to keep moving Helena forward.”

Shirtliff has been actively involved in the community for nearly 15 years and has strongly advocated for affordable housing, reliable infrastructure, public safety, and sustainable growth.

Shirtliff holds a degree from the University of Montana and has advocated for local businesses through his roles at the US Small Business Administration Montana District Office and the State of Montana Governor's Office of Economic Development.

"I believe that along with my experience, that my ability to listen and bring people together could be valuable for our city," Shirtliff said. "I am committed to working collaboratively with my colleagues, our residents, community partners, and business leaders to face our challenges and create a brighter future for our city."

The elections for Helena City Commissioner will be held on November 7th, and Shirtliff is urging all Helena residents to exercise their right to vote. "Together, we can face our challenges and continue moving Helena forward; that is why I am running for City Commission to fulfill the remainder of Eric Feaver’s two-year term,” added Shirtliff.
